RCGP app on MemConnect
Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has launched a new mobile app for College members, MyRCGP.

The app has been developed in partnership with digital agency Cantarus, chosen for its technical excellence and track record with membership clients in the healthcare industry, including the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Association of Anaesthetists, British Society of Rheumatology, and, in particular, its creation of the award-winning mobile app for the College of Optometrists.

The MyRCGP app was built on Cantarus’ innovative MemConnect platform for membership, providing College members with instant access to the latest news, courses, and e-learning. Members can stay up-to-date when they are on the move and even offline. The app also features personalisation to user interests to provide a tailored list of events local to members. In addition, MyRCGP hosts a range of clinical toolkits and guidance materials which are designed to align with their goal of improving every aspect of the profession.

Other features of the app include in-app surveys, targeted push notifications and a list of member benefits, all of which are conveniently available in the palms of members’ hands. MyRCGP unifies the existing RCGP website with other systems including CRM and third-party providers, but provides members with a single, seamless point of engagement in an intuitive manner.

Lee Adams, CEO at Cantarus, comments:

“RCGP as an organisation plays a huge role in assuring the health of our population, and so to be delivering one of their key digital projects on our MemConnect platform is a genuine privilege. We are very proud that we have been able to help RCGP drive standards and deepen engagement by putting its unique and best-of-breed content in the hands of time-poor GPs across the country. GPs have an incredibly important and extremely challenging role, and MyRCGP is a valuable new tool to support them day-to-day.”

Simon Bowen, Executive Director of Membership and International at RCGP adds:

“At RCGP, we wanted to make it simple and easy for our members to engage on their terms – to make the most of their membership. Working with the Cantarus and MemConnect teams has been really exciting – we’ve seen our visions come to life. MyRCGP is going to be a game-changer for our members, and we look forward to continuing to build even stronger relationships with our members as a result.”

Going forward, RCGP will continue to develop the app, with upcoming features set to include member communities, blogs, podcasts, and short videos to support members with their CPD and clinical work.

The MyRCGP app is available to download on iOS and Android.
